A couple of years back, Nature photography obviously meant
film cameras, choice of interchange\able lenses, processing
techniques and analysis of various films.
Today, the life is digital! Except for a specialized purpose,
almost everyone has started imaging without a film in the
camera! One can even take pictures on the mobile phone
!! The paradigm of photography has completely changed.
Gone
are the days when you missed in a great photographic
moment running on the last few frames of your film
and you were nervous of the 36 count !!
Also, no more risk of exposing your film as no more
darkrooms are required.
Now one does not have to bother on the number of clicks….
And no need to wait for films to be processed at the color
labs. The picture is there with you…instantly-
Just switch the display on and the picture is ready
for a view
!!!
The
digital camera domain is so dynamic and fast moving
that by the time you
experiment with
a particular camera
model and concludes the results– more improvisations
and new features are already launched on the market. Basically
the heart of a Digital camera is a sensor (called “chip”)
which is an electronic replacement of a film surface. This
chip captures the image in terms of digital signals and
stores it on the memory of the camera (called “card”).
In case of the film the image was captured and processed
chemically whereas in case of a digital chip –the
image is totally electronic.
